Police are asking for help finding missing Benton man

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - The Benton Police Department issued a missing person report Tuesday for Michael Ray Isbell.

Isbell, 48, of Benton was last seen Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. at the Birch Tree Organization located at 1502 Mary Kay Lane. According to reports, Isbell has been diagnosed with a mental illness that could possibly impair his judgment. 

He is believed to still be in central Arkansas. Isbell is described as standing six feet tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a white sweater, dark jacket, tennis shoes and blue jeans when he allegedly walked away from his volunteer job.

CADC Bryant Senior Activity Center to host Valentine's Dance

BRYANT, Ark. (CADC) - Central Arkansas Development Council Bryant Senior Wellness and Activity Center will host a Valentine’s Dance on Saturday, Feb.14. 

The center is located at 6401 Boone Road in Bryant. 

Admission is $5 per person and will include a potluck starting at 6 p.m. and a dance from 7 p.m. to 9:30 pm. The Blue Velvet Band will also perform.

The Bryant Senior Wellness and Activity Center gives older adults support and encouragement to reach new levels of independence, fostering educational and emotional wellness for persons 60 and older. Activities include exercise, social interaction, nutrition, transportation services, recreational events, book clubs, computer training, and more.

Benton PD looking for teen missing for a month

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) – The Benton Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a runaway teen.

Officers said they are looking for 16-year-old Angel Galvez, who ran away from home on January 12 and hasn't been seen since, though he has made sporadic contact through texts and social media over the past few weeks. His last contact was February 1.

Vigil held for Malvern hit-and-run victim


MALVERN, Ark. (KTHV) - A community came together to mourn the loss of a teenage boy with a candle light vigil on Monday night.

14-year-old John Hern, the victim in a Malvern hit and run accident, was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

"Little John was known," said Hern's cousin, Dagan King. "Everyone loved him around here."

Family members, friends and neighbors lit candles on the street where the teen was hit by a car just four days earlier.

On Thursday, Jan. 29, Hern was trying to push start his broken down dirt bike, when a driver, investigators believe was 'under the influence', hit him and knocked him unconscious, according to the family. From there, he was flown to Children's Hospital and placed on life support. He was pronounced dead two days later.

Lakeside HS will conjoin with National Park for free education

HOTSPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - A press conference will be held Friday, Jan. 23 by Lakeside School District Superintendent Shawn Cook who will announce a partnership between the school district and National Park Community College. 

Lakeside School District plans for the conjunction to offer a two year associate degree for their students at no cost to their family. 

The conference will be held at the Lakeside High School auditorium, Friday at noon.

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - According to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), there will be lane closures in Saline County while improvements are being made to Interstate 30. 

Travelers can expect closures on the westbound outside lane between mile markers 108 and 109 on Tuesday, Jan. 20 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) – A Hot Springs woman is behind bars, after biting off her significant other's eye brow, according to the Hot Springs Police Department.

Latosha Ann Wilburn, 33 was taken into custody Tuesday on several charges.
