Shark Tank couple to speak at OBU

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (KTHV) - One couple who presented and made a deal on television show "Shark Tank" will be speaking at Ouachita Baptist University Friday, Feb. 27.

Brett and Stephanie Parker of Fort Worth will be giving a lecture on their latest invention, the Sleeping Baby brand. Brett is an OBU 2004 graduate and is excited to bring his story back to his alma mater.

In the beginning, the couple invested their savings of $700 to launch their business of Zipadee-Zip sleep garments for baby and kids. After appearing on Shark Tank, their small-time business turned into a $1 million company. Three of the 'sharks' on the show made offers to the couple, but the Parkers made a deal with Daymond John for $200,000 and a 20 percent stake in the company. Their company has seen nothing but success ever since.

The couple will give their 45 minute lecture at the Hickingbotham School of Business on Friday starting at noon.
