Traffic stop leads to meth delivery arrest | Crime

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - A simple traffic stop lead to a methamphetamine delivery bust in Benton, Ark. Wednesday.
A Benton police officer made the stop after observing a car make a U-turn in the middle of an intersection at Valley View Drive and Carpenter Street around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The driver, Jeffery Kilpatrick, 45, of Little Rock also failed to use proper signals during the U-turn.
During questioning of the driver, the officer discovered a plastic baggie containing 14.9 grams of what appeared to be Methamphetamine. After further investigation, police discovered an additional 2.4 grams of the crystal-like substance and a small amount of Marijuana.
Kilpatrick was booked into the Saline County Detention Facility for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Marijuana.
This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be possible, according to officials.
