Bridge inspections will require lane closures on Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Routine bridge inspections will require lane closures on Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be inspecting two adjacent bridges about 5 miles west of Malvern. The work will require closing the eastbound and westbound outside lanes between mile markers 92 and 94.

The eastbound outside lane closure will be Tuesday, October 14th, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, weather permitting. The westbound outside lane will follow the same day.  It will be closed between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

These bridges were constructed in 1967.  They are 207 ft. long and 42 ft. wide.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
