Bridge inspections will require lane closures on I-30

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Routine bridge inspections will require lane closures on Interstate 30 in Hot Spring County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be inspecting the eastbound and westbound bridges (mile marker 97) over the Ouachita River, near Malvern in Hot Spring County. The work will require outside lane closures in each direction.

The eastbound outside lane closure will be Tuesday, June 24th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. If weather conditions are poor, the work will be delayed until the next day.

The westbound outside lane closure will be Wednesday June 25th, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.  If weather conditions are poor, the work will be delayed until the next day. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ArkansasHighways.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @AHTD.
