FBI needs help identifying suspected child sexual predator

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (FBI) -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public's assistance with obtaining identifying information regarding an unknown male suspected of sexually exploiting a child. Photographs and informational posters depicting the unknown individual, known only as John Doe 28, are being disseminated to the public and can be found online at the FBI website athttp://www.fbi.gov/wanted/ecap.

Malvern man sentenced for child porn

        Hot Springs, Arkansas - United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Conner Eldridge announced that Loyton Scott Francis, age 31, of Malvern, Arkansas, was sentenced today on charges of possession of child pornography. Francis was sentenced to 10 years in prison and supervised release for life. United States District Judge Robert T. Dawson presided over the sentencing in U.S. District Court in Hot Springs.

        United States Attorney Eldridge commented, “Crimes against children, including child pornography offenses, remain among the highest priorities for my office. We will continue to bring those involved in this despicable crime to justice.”

A two-hour standoff in Hot Spring County ended Tuesday with the suspect slashing his arm and being transported to Baptist Hospital in Arkadelphia.

A detective with the Hot Springs Police Department reported having observed Cletus Demont Davis Jr., riding an unlicensed scooter while near the intersection of Pleasant Street and East Grand Avenue.

He turned around to follow the scooter and observed it run a stop sign at John and Palmetto Streets, and at that point activated his “emergency equipment” to initiate a traffic stop.

According to the report filed with the Hot Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched to the above address in reference to a battery.

Lamar Aaron McKenzie, 401 Neptune Street, was arrested on charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree, Breaking or Entering and Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft over $5,000.

Shortly before 11pm Sunday night, officers with the Hot Spring Police Department were dispatched to the Spring Hotel, 135 Central Avenue in referenced to an aggravated robbery.

Jake Lane and a fourteen year old juvenile accomplice, were arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor and an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana was charged against Lane.

According to the report filed with the Garland County Sheriff’s Department, Deputies were called to 383 Kaufman Road, where Debra Mullins stated that she saw the two suspects walk from her front yard to the back and try to open the locked door downstairs.
