HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Rock icon and media start Bret Michaels will bring his “True Grit” tour to the stage on Saturday, August 1 at Magic Springs’ Timberwood Amphitheater in Hot Springs.

The show begins at 8 p.m.  

Bret Michaels is a man of many hats including the one he wears on stage. He is a singer-songwriter, musician, actor, director, screenwriter, producer and reality television personality.

He first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the metal band Poison, selling more than 45 million records worldwide and 15 million records in the United States alone. The band charted 10 singles to the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, including six Top 10 singles and the number-one single, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

Michaels has appeared in several movies and TV shows including the hit VH1 reality show “Rock of Love.” He was also the winning contestant on NBC's reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3 and was featured in his own reality docu-series “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” which inspired his highest-charting album as a solo artist, “Custom Built,” reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock list.

His latest album “Custom Built, “ became the highest charting solo album to date peaking at No. 1 on both the Top Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums chart and also charting at No. 4 on the Top Rock Albums and No. 14 on the Billboard 200.

The 2015 concert series will run through August 31. The next concert features Extreme on August 8.  A Magic Springs Season Pass, priced at $74.99, allows for unlimited visits to the park and the concert series. 

Discounted season passes are available at area Kroger stores for $62.99(with Kroger card). Several ticket options are available, including one-day tickets and discounted rates for groups of 15 or more.

All other concerts are included with a season pass or general admission ticket, with free lawn seating on a first-come, first-served basis at Timberwood Amphitheater. Reserved seating is sold out for this week’s concert.

One-day tickets are $59.99 on Saturdays and $44.99 on any other day. Children under 4 feet in height and adults 55 and older are $36.99 on Saturdays and $34.99 on any other day. Children three and younger are free.
